Our Policies

A values-led kaupapa grounded in lived practice, not just principle. Policies that centre whānau, uplift rangatahi, and prioritise intergenerational wellbeing.

  • Whānau — Te Ture Mokopuna, hauora, oranga whānau
  • Whare — kai sovereignty, kaumātua dignity, warm dry homes
  • Whenua — kaitiaki authority, climate resilience, healthy moana
  • Tino Rangatiratanga — protection of He Whakaputanga and Te Tiriti
  • Ōhanga Ā-Rohe — regional economy, local business, kai sovereignty

What she is standing for

Strengthen whānau wellbeing by placing mokopuna, hauora and whānau at the centre of government decisions by:

  • Establish Te Ture Mokopuna and an autonomous, iwi-governed Māori health authority.
  • Strengthen Māori health provision by funding bonded Māori clinicians and delivering care through iwi and tribal hubs.
  • Expand preventative healthcare by bringing diagnostic, dental and health services directly into marae and Māori communities.

Build warm, healthy and affordable homes by:

  • Supporting local rangatahi into construction
  • Building on whenua Māori
  • Strengthening local solutions to housing deprivation across Te Tai Tokerau

Protect our whenua, wai and moana by:

  • Strengthening iwi and hapū authority in environmental decision-making
  • Investing in climate resilience
  • Resourcing marae and local communities in responding to extreme weather events.
